Love this time of year where I get to photograph people in love…..here’s a quick peek of Miranda Parker Photography’s wedding couple:

October 20, 2011

I am so grateful to get the opportunity to photograph alongside such a wonderful wedding photographer. Miranda Parker, of MP Photography, has asked me to be her second shooter for all of 2011 wedding season. She has some beautiful wedding couples with awesome locations. Here’s Paula and Brian’s wedding at The Homestead Resort in Glen Arbor. Beautiful…..beautiful…..are the only words that come to mind.

This is my favorite part to the entire wedding. Paula and Brian opted for a First Look. I love it when I get the opportunity to photograph such an emotional moment on a couple’s wedding day. Here’s Brian getting all prim and proper before the big moment:

Love, Love, and more Love!

I love being the second shooter because I get to photograph from such a different perspective as Miranda.

How fabulous that everyone one who attended the wedding had the option to ride the ski life up the ceremony. Here’s the father of the bride and Paula heading up there.

Even Miranda got to experience the joy ride :)

They were married on top of a ski hill over looking Lake Michigan. It was a little overcast but the sight was still amazing.

I love how even this little guy had the best seat in the house for flipping the wedding.

I will end with this photo because there’s something magical about this image.

This year has been packed with surprises for me. One of them is having the honor of 2nd shooting weddings with a dear photographer friend, Miranda from MP Photography. Finally being able to get my feet wet in the wedding industry I gladly accepted this wonderful opportunity and I get to indulge in all the goodness photographing weddings has to offer. My main subject is to photograph the groom and his groomsmen. Luckily for me, these group of guys were an absolute blast to work with.

Considering I was kind of nervous, Brandon and his crew made it so fun to photograph. Here’s a glimpse of their wedding day:

The beautiful Jill getting ready to see her soon-to-be husband walking down the isle.

Jill is just absolutely gorgeous!

Married!

This little fellow just cracked me up all day! Maybe I was a little biased considering his name was Tucker ;)

And of course I just had to throw this in there…..here’s Miranda, doing what she does best!

It’s been said before. I tend to hoard—not the type of hoarding that will be seen on tv and I’ll have to seek counseling for but if you ask Todd he’ll agree—but the other type of hoarding that I want to hold on and look at these beautiful image all by myself.

I sometimes feel that I’m a mother hen that’s keeping her babies nice and warm. I decided that today will be the day to let them slowly out into the world….it’s going to be hard to let go but here are some teaser images of some upcoming blog posts that range from families, weddings and fashion:

The cat is officially out of the bag…..I can’t wait to share all their stories :)

June 16, 2011

It was a beautiful June morning, perfect for an outdoor wedding.  The ladies gathered at the salon for a day of beauty and the chit chat of wedding and love filled the air. Emotions were running high but at the end of the day, Ashley and Tyler would be married and begin their happily ever after.

Their wedding was very special to me because Ashley and Tyler opted for a First Look.  A First Look is when the bride and groom choose to see each other before the ceremony and I am so happy they chose to do this. But first….let’s start at the beginning….

A huge shout out to the lovely ladies at Beautiful You Salon. They did a beautiful job with Ashley and her bridesmaids’  hair.

Love, love, love the dress.

The necklace was worn by both her Grandma and Great Grandma during their weddings. I love how the traditions runs deep.

The flowers were gorgeous. A huge thanks to Rustic Floral for providing such lovely bouquets and boutonnieres.

Their First Look. I arrange a private location where the two of them get to see each other and enjoy their moment before the ceremony. It was so romantic and I was honored to capture such an intimate moment.

Having a First Look also allows for more time for photographs and they are able to enjoy more free time after the ceremony. I love the idea of a First Look. I would highly recommend it to any future bride.

Ashley, you are Gorgeous! Tyler, you are one lucky man.

The ceremony was held at her Grandma’s house which made for such a private, beautiful ceremony.

Thank you again Ashley and Tyler. I am so grateful to photograph your wedding. I wish you nothing but the best and I know you two will be perfect for each other. *Hugs*
